About Adarsha E.B. Secondary School

Adarsha English (B) Secondary School is an educational community, which was established in 2044 BS in Kusma Municipality -5, Kusma Parbat, Gandaki Provenance with a commitment to developing educational excellence at the school level. This school aims to provide an all-around education to the children so that they can face any problems and become good citizens of a nation. The school believes that international collaboration in the teaching and learning process gives children and young people the opportunity to develop creative, analytical as well as critical thinking about complex global issues in the space of their classroom. It enables schools to offer to students a range of opportunities to understand complex interdependencies in the global economy and celebrate the rich and diverse heritage of the different parts of the world.

Global dimension can be provided to all the subjects and lessons that are taught in the school through the help of internet facility and communication. The main objective of the school is to bring globalization to education and learn practically about the diverse cultural understanding and significance of moral values in daily life, notably comparison among the students and the teaching methods in various parts of the world.

2. The school complex:
It is situated in a peaceful Residential area with Greenery & homely Environment just in the middle of Kushma Bazar. We are going to construct Educational Village on our own land with a Sports and Garden complex including all facilities at Kusma Municipality -5, Kusma Parbat, Gandaki Provenance.
The School is divided into four levels:

  1. Pre-primary Level: Nursery + Kinder Garten. [KG]
  2. Primary Level: Standard One to Five.
  3. Lower Secondary Level: Standard Six to Eight.
  4. Secondary Level: Standard Nine to Ten.

The school Hostel is set into Junior & Senior sections with hostel Warden and Boarders Teachers.

3. Academics:
The school implements the National Curriculum. Teaching subjects are:- English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science, Social, EPH, Health & Physical Education, Opt. Maths Computer Science, Drawings, General Knowledge etc.

4. Language & instructing Policy:
English is the medium of instruction except for Nepali subjects. with modern teaching methodology using devices [ audio-visual + Smart TV + Smart Board, multimedia projector etc]

5. Excursion:
In every Academic Year, the students will be taken out for Educational excursions. An excursion is conducted as a part of social studies and the EPH Curriculum.

6. Examination:
The academic year is divided into four terms with unit tests. Screen test, and monthly test. The students at the end of each term will be given a report card. Students must secure a D+ grade for grade up. All the examinations are taken in the English Medium except for Nepali Subjects.

7. School days and time :
Days:- Sunday to Friday. [Friday and Last day of month half day] Time: 9.50 am to 3.20 pm for Nursery to Standard Three, 9.50 am to 4.00 pm for Standard Five to seven and 9.50 to 4.45 pm 8 to 10.

8. Academic Session:
According to the Government Calendar.

9. School Uniform:
From Sunday to Wednesday:

  1.  Red stripe shirt
  2.  Black Pant for boys and /or tunic/frock for girls.
  3.  Black Shoes with Dark blue socks.

Note: Tie and belts are available at the school on the payment. The skirt of girls should be at least 2-3 inches below the knee and the paint of boys must be with crease and not less than 16 inches of Mohori. FOR STANDARD EIGHT TO TEN: COMPULSORY SCOUT

10. Punctuality:
Each student of this school is expected to be present in the time for all school activities. The school gate will be closed at 10.30 am.

11. Attendance:
95% attendance is compulsory for the students. If the attendance is not as required the child will not be promoted to the next class.

12. School Activities:
For smooth functioning of academic & ECA activities, all the students are grouped into four houses. For each house, one house In-charge teacher, one house captain & two vice-captains are selected. Similarly in each class, one class monitor & two vice-monitors are selected under the command of the class teacher. They coordinate with all.
